Flower Power

Apr 10, 2012

Annie just got back from a trip to Texas, where the bluebonnets—the Lone Star’s state flower—are in full, crazy-colorful bloom. Luckily for us, tourists aren’t the only ones who feel compelled to stop and ogle these amazingly eye-catching and prolific violet-hued flowers; it’s pretty much a statewide sport to travel the “bluebonnet trail,” from Burnet to Llano to Fredericksburg, and a variety of other cities in between, and stop the car in the oddest of places to snap dozens of photos of lush, blooming fields.

Because we’re decorating junkies, we took our color compulsion a step further by running these photos (from the Digital Texan and Real Texas Blog) through the Sherwin-Williams ColorSnap app, to come up with a 100 percent natural, 100 percent glorious room-color palette. It’s almost enough to make you forget about the rattlesnakes.

Almost.
